How to buy ski passes
You can buy your ski passes online and collect them in resort for free or have them delivered to your home for only €3. If you don't already have a ski pass to recharge, then the hands-free pass is an extra €3. Before you buy anything we recommend you check the weather forecast and/or speak to your accommodation provider, who should be able to advise you on the best options.

Ski season prices & dates

The Avoriaz ski season generally runs from late early-December to late April each year. In Avoriaz, for the 2018/19 season, the dates are December 14th 2018 to April 22nd 2019. For the Portes du Soleil, it's 22nd December 2018 to 14th April 2019. Depending on the conditions, there are the are two season bands which apply to lift-pass prices.

Unless otherwise stated, ski passes and prices are generally subject to the following terms:

  • A hands-free pass costs €3 if you don't already have one to recharge
  • Postage of lift passes costs €3
  • Kids under the age of 5 ski for free - proof of age required (free pass at ticket office - €3 charge for handsfree card)
  • Only 1 and 2-day passes exist for the Avoriaz ski area, for longer durations, either buy multiples of 1 or 2-day passes in Avoriaz, or purchase the Portes du Soleil full area pass
  • A photo is required for all passes over 8 days
  • Longer duration ski passes are available when you buy online and in resort
  • Prices shown are a guide only, to be confirmed at time of booking; further terms & conditions may apply. Prices may be subject to changes in sales tax

During the main part of the season, anyone not qualifying for a group or family discounted rate will need an individual's ski pass.

2 people skiing together benefit from the 'Duo' price on Portes du Soleil ski passes. Buy 2 passes for 6 days or more in a single purchase and save €15.

Groups of 3 people pay the 'Trio' price on Portes du Soleil ski passes. Buy 3 passes of 6 days or more in a single purchase and save €24. Only available online.

Families of a minimum of 4 members (2 adults + 2 children) buying 6 to 14-day Portes du Soleil ski passes in a single transaction will benefit from -10% off the public price. You can buy these passes online or at the Ski Pass Offices.

Beginners ski-passes

There are 5-hour, 1 and 2-day beginner passes to enjoy the Avoriaz ski area. These passes allow access to beginner slopes via the Prodains cable car; Plateau, Tour, Zore, Seraussaix, Proclou, Léchère and Dromonts 1 & 2 chairlifts as well as Thrashers, Ecoles 1 & 2, Baron, Barmettes and Chapelle draglifts, Super-Morzine and Ardent gondolas.

Snowpark passes

The Park & Stash pass gives access to the Prodains cable car, Stade, Tour and Prolays chairlifts, as well as the Surf, Arare 1 & 2, Chapelle, Ecoles 1 & 2 and Thrashers draglifts and the Ardent gondola.

Discounted ski-passes

In the Portes du Soleil ski area, ski-pass discounts are available for booking your passes early or skiing later in the season when snow conditions may be less certain. The following discounts are available when booking individual passes for at least 5 days online (does not include season passes and family or group discounts).

Free passes

Kinds under 5 years ski for free. Proof of age required. 1 under 12-year-old Portes du Soleil season pass is offered free with each purchase of 1 adult Portes du Soleil season pass when bought before November 15th 2018.

Cross-country ski-passes

This pass gives access to Ardent gondola, Lechere chairlift, Super-Morzine gondola, Zore chairlift, Plateau chairlift, Prodains cable car, and the Lindarets chairlift.

Ski insurance

The prices above do not include ski insurance. In Avoriaz, you can buy 'Snow Risk' insurance from just €3 per person per day. The duration of your insurance will always be for the same duration as the ski pass you buy. You can add on insurance when you buy online and if you choose to buy your ski passes in resort.
