Avoriaz & Portes du Soleil skipass prices vary based on ski area coverage, time of the season, and duration. There are also special rates for family ski passes and pedestrians.

Popular ski passes
There are two main types of 'Avoriaz Ski Area' passes: the Portes du Soleil Ski Pass which covers 12 different ski villages from Les Gets all the way across to the Swiss resorts, or the local Avoriaz Ski Pass just for the Avoriaz ski area, including the Super Morzine and Lindarets areas. The most popular ski passes are the 6 day Portes du Soleil ski area passes, which are suitable for most visitors to Avoriaz.

How to buy ski passes
You can buy your pass online to save you time, directly via the lift-company, collect your skipasses in resort for free or have them delivered for only €3.

Ski season prices & dates

The Avoriaz ski season generally runs from late early-December to late April each year. For the 2017/18 season the dates are 15th December 2017 to 21st April 2018. For the Portes du Soleil it's 23rd December 2017 to 22nd April 2018. Depending on the conditions, there are the are two season bands which apply to lift-pass prices.

Unless otherwise stated, ski passes and prices are generally subject to the following terms:

  • A hands-free pass costs 3 Euros, if you don't already have one to re-charge
  • Postage of lift passes costs 3 Euros
  • Kids under the age of 5 ski for free - proof of age required
  • Only 1-2 day passes exist for the Avoriaz ski area, any longer either buy multiples of 1 or 2 day passes in Avoriaz, or purchase the Portes du Soleil full area pass
  • Photo is required for all passes over 8 days
  • Proof of ID is compulsory from 12 year old upwards
  • Longer duration ski passes are available when you buy online and in resort
  • Prices shown are a guide only, confirmed at time of booking; further terms & conditions may apply. Prices may be subject to changes in sales tax

Individual ski-passes

During the main part of the season, anyone not qualifying for a group or family discounted rate will need an individual's ski pass.

Group ski-passes

Portes du Soleil
2 people skiing together benefit from the 'Duo' price on Portes du Soleil ski passes. Buy 2 passes for 6 days or more in a single purchase and save €15. Groups of three people pay the 'Trio' price on Portes du Soleil ski passes. Buy 3 passes of 6 days or more in a single purchase and save €24. Only available online. You can buy these passes all season, with the exception of 17th-24th March 2018.

Family Ski Passes

Families of a minimum of 4 members (2 adults + 2 children) buying 6 day Portes du Soleil ski passes (in a single transaction, on passes from 6 days) will benefit from -10% off the public price.

Beginners ski-passes

A 5-hour, 1, 2 or 3-day pass is ideal to begin with, to enjoy the Avoriaz ski area. This pass leads to Avoriaz beginners slopes and gives access to Prodains cable car; Plateau, Tour, Zore, Serraussaix, Proclou, Léchère and Dromonts 1 & 2 chairlifts; Trashers,  Ecoles 1 and 2, Baron, Barmettes and Chapelle draglifts, Super-Morzine and Ardent gondolas.

Snowpark passes

The Park & Stash pass gives access to the Prodains cable car, Stade, Tour and Prolays chairlifts; Surf, Arare 1 and 2, Chapelle, Ecoles 1 and 2 and Trashers draglifts and Ardent gondola.

Discounted ski-passes

In Avoriaz ski-pass discounts are available for booking your passes early, or skiing later in the season when snow conditions may be less certain.

Free passes

Under 5 year olds ski for free. Proof of age required. 

Pre-Christmas and at the end of the season 1 under 12 year old ski pass is offered free with each purchase of 1 adult Portes du Soleil pass of 5 days or more. (Excludes season passes).

Cross-country ski-passes

This pass gives access to Ardent gondola (way up and down), Lechere chairlift (way up only), Super-Morzine gondola (way up and down), Zore chairlift (way up and down), Plateau chairlift (way up only), Prodains cable car (way up and down), Lindarets chairlift (way up only).

Ski insurance

The prices above do not include ski insurance. In Avoriaz you can buy 'Snow Risk' insurance from just 3 euros per person per day. The duration of your insurance will always be for the same duration as the ski pass you buy. You can add on insurance when you buy on line and if you choose to buy your ski passes in resort.
