This 180 m2 stylish chalet has all the modern conveniences to ensure that you have a relaxing enjoyable holiday in this self catering property. 

The layout of the chalet is as follows:

You’ll need to book your own childcare, when staying here. There is a great choice of childcare options in Avoriaz from full-time nanny services to the odd night of babysitting. In addition, during the winter season, many of the ski-schools operate creche services. Booking in advance is always recommended and strongly advised for the school holiday periods.

Cycle Hire

You’ll need to organise your own bike hire when staying here.  Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. You’re best off choosing a shop that is close to your accommodation for ease of access, and making it quicker to return the bike and pay at the end. Some companies may also deliver so it’s worth looking at all the options.

Ski Hire

You’ll need to book your own ski hire, when staying here. There are many choices for hiring equipment. Generally, you’re best off choosing somewhere close for ease of access, & less far to carry your kit, easier to make changes, and quicker to return and pay at the end. Nevertheless, many suppliers will deliver and some snow-front rental stores offer ski lockers, so it’s worth checking out all the options.

Instructors & Lessons

When staying here, you’ll need to book  your own ski or snowboard lessons. Tuition is strongly recommended for complete beginners and is always a good idea whatever your level to perfect your technique. Group lessons are a great way for children to learn with their peers whilst giving you some free time on the slopes. Groups are also a generally cheaper option for adults, however, with a private instructor you’ll have undivided attention and be able to progress at your own pace.

Local Area

The town of Avoriaz (the brainchild of Olympic downhill champion Jean Vuarnet) sits high on a plateau at the end of a wide valley. Sprouting upwards from the top of the cliff face the contemporary, space age-like apartment blocks are clad with wood and mimic the look of the rock below, blending in surreptitiously with their surroundings. Close up however, the bold structures loom above the snowy streets where only skiers, sleighs and pedestrians pass by. The centre of the town buzzes with fresh faces from mountain exploits grabbing lunch at a bakery or a beer at one of the outdoor bars.

Towns Nearby

Avoriaz can be accessed by car or by gondola from the town of Morzine (about 15 minutes away). Geneva is the nearest airport and once in Avoriaz itself you will swap wheels for hooves and board horse drawn sleighs to take you to your accommodation.

Restaurants Nearby

There are an array of restaurants and cafés to choose from in Avoriaz from brasseries to bakeries. Enjoy classic alpine cuisine including freshly cured meats and cheeses with large salads or loaded onto freshly baked breads from one of the local "boulangeries". Most of the restaurants are ski in/ski out in winter meaning you can just about pick up a burger and chips on the move. For a more sophisticated evening, head to one of the many restaurants for a good selection of meat, fish and fine French cooking.

Sights Nearby

At the top of the Fornet bowl, which can be accessed by foot, on a bike or by skis, the views towards the Mont Blanc massif and the aggressive Swiss peaks of Dents du Midi and Dents Blanches are second to none.

Avoriaz is located in the middle of the epic Portes du Soleil and boasts the highest skiable point throughout the entire network of the 12 resorts, meaning great conditions for skiing and snowboarding. The town of Avoriaz is an equally exciting place to be, with winter activities taking place including night sledding, ski joering, sleigh rides and many more. In summer time, there are limitless biking adventures to be had on downhill, cross country and enduro trails, via ferrata to climb and paraglidnig to fly, not to mention the numerous surrounding peaks to summit on foot. Further activities include tennis, archery, Aquariaz waterpark and even caving in the Gouffre d'Avoriaz sinkhole.

Golf-clubs Nearby

The Avoriaz golf course spreads out across the plateau with magnificent panoramic views towards Morzine and the surrounding peaks. There are nine holes, sheltered from the elements by tall fir trees and bordered with wild flowers. Lessons are available from the golf academy and clubs are available for hire.

Lifts/Pistes Nearby

From Avoriaz you can ski from your front door down through the town and then take lifts up towards the Arare bowl with its wide open pistes and well sculpted park, or head towards Fornet for views of the impressive Swiss mountain ranges from which you can drop off into Switzerland itself and enjoy the 650km of pistes the Portes du Soleil has got on offer. There is access to skiing in Morzine by either Prodains or Super Morzine gondolas including a swift bus ride or short walk respectively.

Nightlife Nearby

There are several bars and apres-ski pubs open in Avoriaz, all of which are in walking (or skiing) distance of each other, with live music and DJ nights organised regularly during high season. Large terraces make for magnificent apres-ski locations, right in the heart of the mountains and the cosy pubs and bars are the perfect place to retreat when the weather turns and the snowstorms hit.
