Les gets is back in force for the mountain bike world circuit with four UCI World Cup rounds, and the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, in both the down hill and cross-country disciplines.

On 27 September 2018 in Innsbruck, Austria, the International Cyclist Union announced the calendar for important upcoming international mountain bike events. The Les Gets resort has been chosen to organise the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for downhill (DHI) and cross-Country (XCO) from August 24th to 28th 2022, and four rounds of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in the same disciplines in 2019 and 2020.

The World Championships return to France after an absence of 18 year, when Les Gets last hosted the competition in 2004. After the success of that event, and 25 years of international competition organisation, the resort will no doubt live up to the high standard of event required to attract the elite of international mountain biking for more competitions in the future.
