Got the blues? We have too. Blue skies, blue runs, but no blue moods. Here, regardless of your skiing/snowboarding ability, most of the nicest runs in resort are marked as blue pistes.
For those of you who have no idea what that means, take a look at this little breakdown:
Green – Very Easy / Blue – Easy / Red – Difficult / Black – Very Difficult
You may be coming out this winter having never even seen snow before, let alone attempted to slide down it, in which case, the easy blue runs are going to suit you perfectly. If however, you’re an intermediate skier, fear not; some of the best views in resort can be spotted from these runs, and if they’re a little too chilled for you, there are plenty of steeper slopes to explore. To make it simple, here are the best and most accessible blue runs according to where you will be starting your day of skiing. There are three main lift stations leading to Avoriaz for those of you coming up from down the valley in Morzine (Prodains, Ardent and Super Morzine), and if you’re staying in resort these are good reference points on the piste map.
