Through the Savoie and the Haute Savoie, husky-dog mushers from the twelve or so different countries worldwide will be competing during a 2-week effort race over 1,000 km and over 25,000 m of cumulated positive difference in altitude.
Night and day the track will lead the teams through 24 ski resorts (20 French resorts and 4 Swiss), where many events will be taking place.
For each of the 10 stages, the race starts against the clock (every 2 minutes) or as mass start (in parallel) and brings together thousands of people in the snowed-up streets of the resort centers or in the most beautiful natural sites of the Pays de Savoie Mont Blanc. |
